Kimberly Pierce is remaking Brian De Palma's classic horror Carrie, and it looks like she’s putting together quite a cast! For starters, Chloe Moretz will play the troubled and telekinetic title character, and now Julianne Moore has signed on to star as her mother Margaret White. If you haven’t seen the original then let me tell you that Carrie’s fundamentally religious mother is as much to blame for her eventual slash-happy ways as the bullies that torment her. On another bright note Kimberly is using Stephen King's original novel as inspiration for her remake, so it should be a pretty fresh take on this high school-set nightmare. Just so you, this one is NOT for the weak hearted!

Jessica Simpson only had her baby Maxwell drew a couple of weeks ago but the singer-and-actress sure knows how to make hay while the sun shines! The woman is already giving birth to another venture and has announced a maternity line simply called Jessica Simpson Maternity. The range will hit stores across Americathis August and will be aimed at the modern mom-to-be who wants to maintain her fashion edge throughout her pregnancy. Jessica Simpson Maternity will be a well-rounded line including tops, maxi dresses, jackets, blazers, sweaters, knits and denims. Hopefully the new business won’t be too much of a distraction from little Maxwell.

Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet are joining forces for Jason Reitman’s next project that’s based on Joyce Maynard’s bestselling book Labour Day. The Up In The Air and Young Adult director’s new movie will tell the story of a 13-year-old boy and his divorcee mother who meet an escaped convict at the local supermarket and learn priceless life lessons from the fugitive. Considering Josh, Kate and Jason’s previous work I expect this one to be nothing short of amazing, so keep a definite eye out for it sometime next year!

Thor’s a dad! Chris Hemsworthand his actress wife Elsa Pataky welcomed a baby girl on the 11th of May and they’ve named her India Rose! Apparently the muscly Marvel superhero and his Latina wife picked the exotic name because they love the country. Chris and Elsa tied the knot back in 2010 and this is the first child for the couple. People in the know tell me that the new daddy is currently brushing up on his Spanish skills because Elsa plans to only speak to Indiain her native tongue and Chris doesn’t want to feel left out! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Thor!
