The father-son duo, Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor literally stole the show at IIFA!

At the International Indian Film Academy ( IIFA) awards in Singapore on Saturday, the father-son duo, Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor literally stole the show with their scintillating dance performance.

Ranbir Kapoor made his entry with a guitar in his hand, performing to his popular number ‘Sadda Haq’, followed by a dance number to ‘Tai Tai Phish’.

Soon, Rishi Kapoor made a stylish entry to the dialogue from his hit film ‘Karz’ — Kya tumne kabhi kisi se pyaar kiya, followed by a dance number to ‘Paisa Yeh Paisa’.

Afterward, Ranbir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor had a small competition on the new and old versions of the song ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’. Ranbir won the so called competition, concluding it by touching his dad’s feet.

At the IIFA Rocks, a fashion and musical night which is a part of the ongoing 13th International Indian Film Academy Weekend and awards in Singapore, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra literally brought the roof down with their overwhelming performance on the song “Uff” from their forthcoming movie Teri Meri Kahaani.

Apart from the musical night, the runway lit up with gorgeous models walking the ramp for various designers, adding glamour to the entire show.

Designers Varun Bahl, Masaba Gupta and Suneet Verma showcased their collections with star showstoppers.

Following Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra powe packed performance, was Punjabi singer Mika Singh, who performed on songs like “Chinta ta ta”, “Pungi”, “Jugni”, Dhinka Chika and “Subah hone na de”.

Gauhar Khan, a Model-turned-actress also showcased her item numbers like “Jhalla” and “Chokra Jawan” from “Ishaqzaade”.

Shafqat Amanat Ali too followed the gang with his popular songs like “Mora saiyyan”, “Tum mile”, “Bin tere” and “Mitwa”.

Putting an end to a fun filled night was an energetic performances by music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar. They sang numbers like “Sheila ki jawaani”, “Chammak challo”, and “Bharat mata ki jai”

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara dominates IIFA Awards nominations list!

Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) film has bagged 14 nominations at the 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards and is currently leading. Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ follows closely, bagging 13 nominations. .

“Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” has been nominated for the best picture, Zoya Akhtar for best direction, Hrithik Roshan for best actor in a leading role, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar for best performance in a supporting role, male, and Kalki Koechlin has been nominated in best actress in supporting role, female.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for music direction, while Javed Akhtar for best lyrics for “Khaabon ke Parindey”. The film has also been nominated in the best story category. Other nominations include technical categories.

“The Dirty Picture” grabs 13 nominations which includes best actress, best picture, best direction, best performance in supporting role male for Emraan Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah. Naseer has also been nominated in the best actor in a negative role category, best story, best lyrics and best playback singer male for Kamaal Khan for “Ishq Sufiyana”.

Actors competing for the leading role male category include, Hrithik Roshan for ZNMD, Amitabh Bachchan for “Aarakshan”, Salman Khan for “Bodyguard”, Shahrukh Khan for “Don 2″, Ranbir Kapoor for “Rockstar” and Ajay Devgn for “Singham”.

Actress nominated for the leading role female include Priyanka Chopra for “7 Khoon Maaf”, Kareena Kapoor for “Bodyguard”, Mahi Gill for “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster” and Kangana Ranaut for “Tanu Weds Manu”.

Actors in the supporting role female are Parineeti Chopra for “Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl”, Swara Bhaskar for “Tanu Weds Manu”, Sonali Kulkarni for “Singham” and Divya Dutta for “Stanley Ka Dabba”.

Best performance in a negative role, and the nominations are, Irrfan Khan for “7 Khoon Maaf”, Boman Irani for “Don 2″, Vidyut Jamwal for “Force” and Prakash Raj for “Singham”.
