Shahid Kapoor rejects rumor of no working stand with Sonakshi Sinha!

Rumors had it that Shahid Kapoor was not very keen on working with Sonakshi Sinha and that he had declined certain movies only because the actress was a part of it. However, Shahid finally clears the air.

It was told that the reason Shahid never wanted to work with Sonakshi was because she looked older than him and that he always prefers working with young looking actresses.

In a fresh interview, Shahid Kapoor rubbished all such rumors and said such things disturb him.

And you know what Shahid does when his movies fair poor at the box office??? Well, the actor is no less than a kid. He finds things to throw around.

The actor also disclosed that he is very keen on doing an out-and-out action film, and he couldn’t gat any luckier when he was signed by director Prabhu Deva for a movie on the lines of action.

Bollywood's 'Rowdy' Akshay who is enjoying the success of 'Rowdy Rathore' tells he likes heroines who are in 'Haari Baari'. Speaking to media and heaping praises on Sonakshi and Asin, he tells "They are very much in tune with today's times. To me, they are not newcomers. Sonakshi is a wonderful actress who has her own style of acting. She has an absolutely different figure - a typical, Indian figure and not size zero. Khaate peete gharane ki lagti hain. I am a pure Punjabi. I like heroines who are hari bhari. Chusa hua aam na lagey," he reveals, asking us how we are going to translate 'chusa hua aam' into English. "Will it be sucked out mangoes?"

Akshay is very much excited doing action entertainer after a long gap. He says "After seven years, I got to do action. I say, I am a newcomer today," he admits, adding that he is also working in "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2", which also has action thrown into it.Akshay also found the going tough while grooving to Prabhu's beats. "It's difficult to execute his dance steps. He is very demanding as a choreographer. I needed a lot of rehearsals. But, I managed to pull it off," he discloses.

Star actor Sonakshi Sinha celebrated her birthday on Saturday and she planned to celebrate in a grand manner in a yet to be opened restaurant. According to insiders Sona wanted to bring in her birthday at Arona, an upcoming restaurant at the J.W. Marriott, which is still to be thrown open to the public. However the hotel authorities weren't prepared to open the restaurant for just one party.

But all this changed with the entry of 'Rowdy Rathore', Akshay Kumar who is on a mission to fulfill his heroine's wish on this special day. Akshay pulled some strings and ensured they did. "To turn down Akshay was out of the question. So the hotel made an exception and allowed the star to host the dinner for their friend," says our source. Delighted Sonakshi who is over the moon says "Akshay and Tina made it special for me. My parents and friends' presence made it even more special."

Many onlookers say Sonakshi is turning out to be new Katrina for Akshay Kumar. Akshay is enjoying the film's success and is seen partying with his friends and family members. Akshay now will cast his sights on his next ventures Oh My God, Khiladi 786 and Joker.

Sonakshi Sinha is not ready to do sensuous item songs!

Dabaang beauty Sonakshi Sinha became the darling of Bollywood with her ravishing performance but she tells that she is not ready to do sensuous item songs. She says "I haven't been offered any item number till now. If there is a good song, I am convinced enough and I am presented in a right way, then why not". Sonakshi's upcoming film Rowdy Rathore releasing on Friday and while promoting her film along with co-star Akshay Kumar and director Prabhu Deva she disclosed her mind in front of media at Gurgaon.

When asked by media about her sensuous number Chammak challo chail chabeeli in Rowdy Rathore, Sonakshi tells "This song is not an item song. It's a very situational song with a wedding as its backdrop".

Sonakshi made her debut as a demure village belle in Dabangg and actioner Rowdy Rathore will see her in a similar desi avatar.

Sonakshi is not keen for a quick image change over telling "I am not waiting to get a role that will change my Desi girl image, but still if I get something, which requires me to be more westernized and my character is good I won't mind doing it. Right now I am happy representing my own culture".

Sonakshi plays the role of moll in OUATIM 2!

Milan Luthria has made it comprehensible that in OUATIM 2, there is only one female lead and two male leads. Luthria mentions that in the sequel the bloodshed in Mumbai underworld is not highlighted but instead a love triangle is the main subject. Focus is on the underworld of 1970s and 80s. The tale is somehow akin to the 80s where the underworld was fascinated towards the leading ladies of B-Town, and also the stars were attracted towards the dons.

Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan play the roles of smugglers in the movie while Sonakshi Sinha is the star. Sonakshi plays the role of moll, and her character is inspired from Mandakinis life. But Luthria also tells that there is more work of fiction in the second part than facts.

Luthria tells Sonakshi is simple yet graceful, and fits in the bill of a demure lady who has come to the city of dreams to pursue her own dreams. She looks very indian and is an indian sexy woman totally. Imran is chosen since he is extremely popular with the youngsters. He is out of his comfort zone for the film, and his character is having a complete different color.

Sonakshi Sinha is one actress in the Bollywood industry, who has made it very clear from the start that she is not a very bold person and is not open to doing item numbers. However, if the item song is presented in the right way, she will think doing it.

Sonakshi Sinha tells she is very uncomfortable in donning a bikini on screen.

“It’s a complete no-no to bikini because I am not that kind of a person. I have been bought up in a certain way. I have certain restrictions that I follow and I don’t see any reason to change it because if the audience has accepted me fully clothed, then why would I resort to it?” told Sonakshi Sinha.

The 24-year-old will soon be seen in her upcoming movie Rowdy Rathore in her desi avatar. She is said to be continuing the same desi look in the rest of the movies too. The desi look will carry on in Joker, Once Upon a Time Again, Dabangg 2, Son Of Sardar and Lootera.

“I am a normal Indian girl who wears jeans and T shirts normally. Born and brought up in Mumbai, so I am used to wearing clothes like that,” Sonakshi Sinha further added.

Sonakshi also revealed that she will never do a very bold scene like the one Vidya Balan did in The Dirty Pictures.

“It was a great film and Vidya’s performance was fantastic. I respect her so much as an actress after that film, but it takes guts to do something like that. I don’t think I will be able to pull it off with the restrictions that I have,” she told.

Sonakshi had lately admitted that she prefers working with older men in the industry and that she is more comfortable with them. Even since she made such a confession, younger actors in Bollywood do not want to be paired with her and the key reason is that she would look older than them.

It was heard that Sonakshi wanted to pair up with Ranbir Kapoor. However, Ranbir Kapoor refused her for the very fact that she would look older than him. The same applied to Shahid Kapoor too.

According to a close source, “Sonakshi is very keen to work with Ranbir and Shahid, who are closer to her age. More so since she’s also working with Imran Khan in Milan Luthria’s sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. But it seems she heard about Shahid joking that she would look older to him if they were to do a film together. That’s why she’s said to have declined the remake of Vettai.”

Interestingly, we we notice, all of Sonakshi’s co-stars till date have been older actors. Two films with Salman Khan, three with Akshay Kumar and another with Ajay Devgn.

The makers of the film Rowdy Rathore were a bit upset when a leaked version of the film’s trailer went viral, online. The incident happened over the weekend.

The leaked trailer was later blocked by the producer. But by the time the film makers realized about the trailer going viral, it was too late as many already downloaded and even shared it.

Coming to the trailer, Akshay Kumar as expected is the rowdy, who walks around challenging the goons. Dialogues like “Jo Main Bolta Hun Woh Main Karta Hun”.. “Aur Jo Main Nahi Bolta Woh Main Definitely Karta Hun,” is often heard coming out from him.

The movie is directed by Prabhu Deva, and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with UTV. Starring Akshay Kumar as a cop who woos Sonakshi Sinha.
