Though Saif and Kareena are tight lipped about their marriage plans, mommy Sharmila Tagore sounds quite thrilled and is busy spilling the beans.

If news is true, Saif and Kareena are all set to tie the knot on October 16 this year. It is heard that Kareena will be dressed in sharara that Saif’s mom wore on her marriage. And Bebo is quite happy to continue the tradition of the royal Pataudi family.

Buzz had it that the sharara will be given a modern look. However Sharmila Tagore has now confirmed that no changes will be made to the dress.

Pataudi is where Saif and Kareena will tie the knot in a registered wedding. Later, there would be a lavish reception thrown in Mumbai.

It was earlier reported that Kareena would be romancing serial kisser Emran Hashmi in the ambitious Ekta Kapoor- Karan Johar venture. However Kareena left in the middle and now film makers replaced her with Deepika Padukone. Kareena left the moment she came to know that Emran would be her co star for unknown reasons. It was reported that she was not comfortable with Emran. However daring Deepika has no such feelings.

A source close to the Balaji-Dharma project revealed, "It is strange Kareena was not happy with her role. She also told Ekta and Karan that her wedding would be around the same time they wanted to start shooting for the film. It's a heroine-oriented film and Emraan is not the mainstay of the project. Deepika was so excited about her role that she agreed to it a couple of days before boarding the flight to Turkey, where she is currently shooting for Race 2."

According to the source, later, Kareena had a change of heart and expressed a wish to return to the project. But it was too late by then. "It would have been unethical to show Deepika the door then. Moreover, they were unanimous in their opinion that Deepika could pull off the role as efficiently as Kareena would have." "The film is an urban take on love - it is quirky, edgy and dramatic," says an insider. Debutant director Akshay Roy who wields the megaphone is in fifth gear for his challenging assignment, which starts later this year. Sources from both Dharma and Balaji confirmed the developments.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor was in for a shock when hosts Ayushmann Khurrana and Chitrangada Singh asked him to imitate his family members, including actress Kareena Kapoor.

Like a sport he didn't shy away from succumbing to the demand, despite his father Rishi Kapoor sitting in the first row. "Tum log muzhe pitwaoge (I'll be bashed for this)," told Ranbir reacting on the request.

Ranbir mimicked his great grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor by saying one of his dialogues from movie "Mughal-e-Azam" (Salim! Anarkali ko deewar mein chunwa do). At the 12th New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF), Kareena Kapoor is will walk the red carpet. The event will be held in Lower Manhattan from May 23 to May 27.

Along with Kareena Kapoor, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar will walk too. Other celebrities to join them are Anurag Kashyap, Rituparno Ghosh, Salman Rushdie and Mira Nair.

The screening of Dev Anand’s movie “Hum Dono Rangeen”, a colored version of his black-and-white classic “Hum Dono”, will also be a part of the event as a tribute to him.

The world premiere of Ghosh’s “Chitrangada” as well as the USpremiere of both parts of Kashyap’s “Gangs of Wasseypur”, will be hosted by NYIFF. These movies are also lined up to be screened at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival.

Other movies like Shyam Benegal’s “Zubeida”, “Mammo” and “Sardari Begum”, Pakistani-Canadian journalist and filmmaker Obaid Chinoy’s Oscar-winning documentary “Saving Face” etc will also be screened at the event.

After a lot of coaxing from many film makers, Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor have at last decided to do a movie together for Zoya Akhtar.

The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director has successfully managed to convince the actors. Now, Ranbir and Kareena will share the screen as brother-sister in Zoya’s next movie.

According to a source, “Both Ranbir and Kareena were always aware that they couldn’t pair romantically for any movie. So for them to come together for any project, it needed to have an extraordinary script. Zoya narrated the idea to Kareena while she was shooting for Talaash. Kareena immediately loved it. Ranbir too has given it his consent. The movie will now go on floors by the end of this year,” told the source.

It is heard that the film portrays a brother-sister relationship.

“Zoya will be reviving the brother-sister relationship genre. And she has now managed to cast real life siblings Ranbir and Kareena for it,” further added the source.

How then could Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming film ‘Heroine’ starring Kareena Kapoor in the lead be left far behind? It has been reported that Kareena and actor, Arjun Rampal will be seen sharing a very steamy scene on-screen in ‘Heroine’.

Madhur has gone on to claim that this scene will be top-notch surpassing all other love scenes made in Bollywood. Actually, even Arjun Rampal has never shot for a scene of such magnitude ever before. Kareena though is not a novice to hot scenes. Earlier she had shot one such scene with Ajay Devgan in ‘Omkara’ and another with Saif Ali Khan in ‘Kurbaan’. This scene in ’Heroine’ though will be steamier, as per what the industry insiders say.

When probed further for details regarding the scene, Madhur chose to maintain a silence. He was of the opinion that it was too early to talk about it at this stage of the movie.
